hile working towards an engineering degree at Auburn University in the late ‘90s, Matt Hubbard, ICS founder and President, was also working for a local general contractor on several projects. He noticed something missing in the construction business at that level. There was a lack of comprehensive, meticulous planning to meet client’s needs that also did things the right way. With the smaller projects he was working on, he rarely saw a detailed presentation of all the stages and components of a project. Having seen this gap in the market, Matt utilized his experience in the field and from his engineering education to develop a process to survey, quantify and accurately communicate the scope of a job to minimize, if not eliminate, any surprises.

Conceptual Phase:

At the start of the construction process, it is our goal to fully understand the needs and expectations of the end user so that there are no surprises. We survey the site, provide a detailed budget for the scope of the project and assist with lease review. Our estimating department utilizes Timberline software along with the latest computer tools to quickly provide estimates that are precise, detailed and thorough.

Design Phase:

During the Design Phase, we offer design-build assistance. Utilizing our experience in the field, we offer knowledgeable advice and perform value engineering to maintain cost effectiveness.

Construction Phase:

During construction, ICS maintains computer-generated schedules to ensure that all projects are organized in the most proficient manner. Quality control is a daily function of our field management; on-site superintendents monitor each trade closely to guarantee the timely and efficient completion of each project.

Post-construction:

After completion, we survey the improvements with the client to ensure the work was done according to scope. We also complete tasks such as providing owner’s manuals and completing warranty work, and repairs receive the same attention as the other phases of construction. We consider each completed project to be our best advertisement and we are pleased to provide customer references upon request.
